Group Gallery

All group gallery shows held in the Betty & Art Robins Gallery are listed on the Exhibition Opportunity page of our website.

Members’ Shows (open to current CAL members)

  • We have two Members’ shows per year (Summer and Winter).

  • All current members may enter a members’ show.

  • You must enter your work into our online submission form before we have reached our submission limit; at that time the form will no longer be available for submissions.

  • Your work will not be juried out of the show, but we will have a judge award prizes.

  • Members may only submit one artwork per members show.

Juried Shows (open to all artists)

  • We have four - five juried shows per year.

  • You do NOT need to be a member to submit your work.

  • For juried shows you may enter up to two artworks per one entry fee.

  • If your work is not selected for the show, we will contact you within 5 days of drop off and you will need to pick up your artwork.

  • Any artwork left at CAL for more than 30 days will become CAL’s property.

Gallery show procedure

  • Fill out the online submission form. Our submission forms will be live online 3-4 months before the deadline on our Exhibition Opportunities page. If you aren’t able to submit your work online, contact us at the gallery (573-443-8838 or email: info@columbiaartleague.org) and we will help problem solve with you.

  • Enter and pay the submission fee online. You may enter up to two works per entry fee.

  • Look over the Gallery Guidelines about framing, size, and other best practices for showing your work in the gallery.

  • Drop your work off at the CAL gallery (207 S. 9th St.) during the days & times listed for that show. You will put your artwork in the group gallery along the wall (2D) or on the stairs (3D).

  • We will contact you if your artwork is NOT selected by the juror (for juried shows) within 5 days of drop off. You will need to pick your work if it is NOT selected with a few days of notification. Artwork left at CAL longer than 120 days will become CAL’s property.

  • The juror selects 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. They may also award Honorable Mention awards if moved to do so. If your work is selected for an award by the juror, you will receive an email notification and a check.

  • Juror notes may be available and we will do our best to give you feedback if possible.

  • We will post about the show on our website, in our newsletter, and via social media. The more you share and let people know about the show, the more people will see it.

  • At the end of the show you will pick up your work from the gallery and sign it out

  • If your work sells, we will send you a check for the total less our 35% commission. We will contact you to let you know it sold and that you don’t need to come in and pick it up at the end of the show.
