Thank you so much for taking the time to recommend one of your students for the CAL Mentorship Program, 2024. We hope to create an experience that is meaningful and fulfilling to both artist-mentor and student participants. Our success depends largely on pairing students with the right mentor. In order to help us make the best matches, please tell us more about the student you are recommending.

*Please be aware that this is not a CPS program. All activities related to the Mentorship Program will take place off of school grounds and outside school hours. Participation in this program is contingent on parental/guardian consent for each student.

What do you hope this student will gain from participating in this program?

Do you feel confident that this student is willing and able to commit to meeting with their mentorship group on a bi-monthly basis, at a minimum, as well as spending additional time outside of the studio in order to build a portfolio or undertake an independent project with the help of their mentor? Is this student responsible enough to communicate regularly with their mentor and notify them ahead of time in the event that they will be absent?
