2024 Pet Portraits are sold out! Check back next year if you missed out this time. Thank you all for your support!
How it works:
You send in a photo of your pet and pay the fee online. Deadline: October 13, 2024
One of our artists, selected randomly, will receive your photo of your pet and create an original portrait in their unique artistic style. A portion of the proceeds will go to Second Chance, a local animal rescue organization. Cost: $35 per portrait.
There is only one pet allowed per pet portrait! If you would like to have a portrait made for more than one pet, you will need to purchase two pet portraits and upload a separate picture for the second pet. We do not accept two pets together in one picture.
Please note: Each portrait will be one of a kind! You get what you get. We cannot give refunds if you are unhappy with your portrait. Part of the fun of this fundraiser is that you don’t know which artist will be making your pet’s portrait!
You must select your preferred delivery method when you sign up. We offer in-person pick-up as well as shipping. You may pick up your pet portrait(s) at Columbia Art League any day after November 15th, 2024. All mailed portraits will be sent out by November 15th, 2024.
Details:
Each portrait will be 2-dimensional and roughly 5x7 in size. Each portrait will be mailed flat, and will not be framed.
We limit each person to 2 pet portraits each. We cannot guarantee that one artist will make all of your pet portraits. You may end up with 2 portraits made by 2 different artists.
Photos need to be clear and well-contrasted (not dark and not blurry). Ex: Don't pose your white dog in front of a white background. Try to have your pet be as still as possible when you are taking the photo. If your pet has any special characteristics (i.e. absent limbs or organs), please make note of that in the comments section so we can make sure the portrait is as accurate as possible.
Please make sure the photo you submit is of your pet ONLY. Do not include any family members in your picture, as they will not be included in the portrait. A clear picture of just your pet will allow the artist to get the best reference for the portrait.
No refunds or exchanges will be issued. Each artist is encouraged to infuse their artistic style into each portrait!
