Watercolor: Experiment, Respond & Resolve with Lindsay Pict (3 Week)- Saturdays, 12-2PM from June 14-28
Saturdays, June 14, June 21 & June 28 from 12-2pm
This 3 week course will explore the openness & transparency of watercolor with artist Lindsay Pict. We will be using saturation, thinness or thickness of paint, and water as a force to accept & flow with, rather than try to control it.
This mode of working mirrors Pict’s own explorations in watercolor over her two years in graduate school. Starting with unresolved, “ugly” or meaningless abstractions, which is then revisited, responding to the paint handling already on the paper by bringing in an image or structure, led me to finding a new resolution for older paintings.
All levels welcome.
