Submission Deadline: April 1st  | Notification of Acceptance: April 25th

Reception: September 12, 6 - 8 pm

Back by popular demand, this beloved exhibition marries the visual and literary creative arts in seamless harmony. Here’s how it works: 30 visual artworks and 30 short pieces of poetry or prose (150 words or less) are selected from a pool of submissions. Artists and authors are then paired anonymously and at random. Each selected visual artist will receive a piece of writing; each writer, a visual image. They then have the next few months to create a response inspired by the given prompt. The result is a fascinating glimpse into the creative process, and a gallery full of penetrating conversations between works and across media, transcending the limits of visual and written communication on their own. A community favorite, this show is not to be missed.

Artwork must be made within the last 1-2 years.

Artwork must be ready for display upon arrival. All work that is expected to hang on the wall must be wired; no sawtooth hangers or triangle hooks will be accepted. All work should be legibly signed by the artist on the back (name + title).

Drop Off: September 5 & 6 | Pick Up: October 17 & 18
