Bio:

I am a mixed media artist who grew up in Iowa, spent many years in New Mexico, and recently moved to Missouri.  After leaving the corporate world, where I worked as a graphic designer and media specialist, I became a full-time artist (lucky me!). I have an MA in studio art (painting and drawing) and an unending interest in translating the imagined to the tangible.
I try to respond to a specific idea such as living in the city, earth structures, the mystery of trees, geologic strata, data collection and representation, ciphers, etc. Beyond expressing a theme, I like the idea of creating visual artifacts that evoke mystery.
