Bio:

I've been painting since I was a teenager. I work in oil, acrylic and watercolor. Recently, I added pan pastels to my medium options. It's my pleasure to share my work with you.

I grew up on a farm/ranch in Wabaunsee County Kansas, near Maple Hill. I now live in Columbia, Missouri, where I work for the University of Missouri full time and paint as often as I can make the time. Annually I spend some weeks in the Eastern Sierras of California. These spaces are my primary subjects. In Kansas, I am particularly fond of the Flint Hills and rural scenery. I've also begun painting some larger flowers with lots of color.

I have studied art with various artists over the years in workshops and college classes. I credit my mother for encouraging me and connecting me with my first painting instructor, Pat Keever. I also had the pleasure of studying under Robert Sudlow while I was a student at the University of Kansas.
