Dave Walker, a Missouri native, resides in the Columbia with his wife Julie. He earned a BSE in art education from Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State) University), Dave's creative journey spans across various mediums. He initially painted in oils and watercolors before delving into the intricate world of fabric collage.

In 1992, Dave's artistic curiosity led him to discover a love for fabric piecing. Through the years he meticulously crafted over a dozen quilt tops. Late 2009 he discovered his true passion: fabric collages, which he aptly dubs Fabricscapes.

Dave’s fabric art has garnered acclaim far and wide, gracing the walls of galleries and private collections from Florida to Alaska. His artistic renderings have been celebrated in numerous exhibitions, including solo showcases at: the Cape Girardeau Conservation Center, Bernard Gallery, Orr Steet Studios and Gallery, Sikeston Depot Museum, Columbia Art League, and Art Off the Trail Gallery in Rocheport. He has also participated in various vendor art booth shows such as Art in the Park, Queeny Park, Artfest on Walnut Street, and Art and Air.

Awards and accolades punctuate Dave's artistic journey, with notable wins including best of show, first, second, and third place honors at various exhibitions across Missouri. His talent has even transcended state boundaries, with a fabricscape earning a coveted spot in a National Art Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Beyond exhibitions, Dave's artistic contributions extend to commissioned pieces for Cancer Hospitals in Cape Girardeau and Orlando, Florida, where his work serves as a source of comfort and inspiration. He has been the featured artist at esteemed venues like the Blue Stem in Columbia and the Capital Arts in Jefferson City, leaving an indelible mark on Missouri's vibrant art scene.

Dave's dedication to his craft is evident in his continuous exploration and innovation, ensuring that each fabricscape tells a unique and captivating story.
