Operations Manager

30hrs/wk $13.50-$15/hr

Objective:

The Columbia Art League is a non-profit serving those ages 5 - 105 who are interested in participating in and supporting the arts. CAL provides classes for all ages, gallery space to exhibit artwork, and a retail space for local artisans to sell their work. The Mission of the Columbia Art League is to provide the community with a stimulating environment for experiencing the visual arts through exhibitions, education, appreciation, promotion and creation of art.

The Operations Manager works directly with the Executive Director to implement the overall duties for operations at the Columbia Art League.

Job duties:

Plan (with the ED) the social media calendar, create and collect content

Create marketing visuals as needed and work with a design intern when available

Update website regularly with events and news

Write and send press releases on behalf of CAL as needed

Prep newsletter templates

Data entry

Check and respond to customer service emails

Schedule volunteers

Work the front desk as necessary

Help with events as time permits

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Strong writing skills

Knowledge of social media platforms

Graphic design experience

Knowledge of photography / video helpful

Knowledge of Squarespace is helpful Interest in art

Other:

Flexible schedule but must work 50% of the time at CAL

Some evenings and weekends required
