Artist Statement:

I like to combine common human pastimes and views with exaggerated figures, whether they’re human, animal, or a mix between the two. One of my favorite types of art to do is to do caricatures of people I am close with, as it’s a fun way to get closer and have a good time together. I like to use colored pencils and pens because they allow mistakes to become a part of the piece, rather than everything being perfect.

Artist Bio:

Hailey Morris (she/her) is an artist based out of Columbia, Missouri. She uses watercolor, colored pencils, and ink to make art focusing on beauty standards and animal-human hybrids. She also has an interest in art history and is going to Mizzou to study it. Her interest in art history inspires her art, focusing on how beauty changed throughout history and how artists portrayed it.
