Theseus traded heroing for immortality and waits at a hotel on Thera, where the Americans beg him to light the saganaki on fire and call out, “Opa!” 

The sun this summer is white-hot as never, and Crete is burning again. I’m sure you’ve seen the night glow. 

Nights like these, I think of you turning and pacing, keeping the grove at the end of your maze. Do you look up at the stars to track changes in them after all of this time? I do.

I’m beginning mortality treatments. Hope it takes. I’ll let you know.
