My-ology

As infinitesimal as they may be

my-ology - my thoughts -

twist through sulcus

and tumble over gyrus

burgeoning Bunyan-like

(or is it bunion-like?)

in the oddest of places.

So I pot them. Name them in notebooks.

Admire their sporadic spots, bright shades, 

and shadowed crevices.

Sketch them in the empty spaces

until I delicately lower the cover

and each page wafts a cool sigh.
