Moonbeams and Surprise Lilies

On a sultry summer night,

the full moon

sheds its cool light,

in a silvery glow,

mingling with

the punchy perfume

of pink-petalled lilies

that bloom

on

leafless

stalks,

as they rise

from their warm beds.

Like languishing lovers,

and pent up poets,

who has not longed for

the unfettered freedom of

naked ladies

bathing

in moonbeams?
