The Sketchbook: Investigate, Experiment & Play (6 week)- Tuesdays, 6-8pm from March 4-April 8

from $150.00

Tuesdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm from March 4th - April 8th

A six week course exploring the value and methods by which the sketchbook supports the artist, the creative, and the curious.

This course will provide a structured, communal space to find what drives you, and how a sketchbook as a daily practice can create opportunities for experimentation, investigation, and growth in a wide range of creative mediums and applications.

Whether you are a painter, ceramicist, textile artist, or an accountant, the sketchbook is a personal space where you are allowed to try and fail, record your thoughts, and nurture a dialogue with yourself about what you love to make, what you want to improve, or what you need at the grocery store.

Sharing a sketchbook with others can be a vulnerable experience, but one where we have a chance to meet one another respectfully in an honest space. In that, we stand to learn as much from each other's explorations as we do from our own!

This class is taught by Nathan Halwel & held at in the CAL classroom (207 South Ninth St.)
