In this 6 week class, learn the basics of perspective and proportion while using charcoal. Hope will guide students in layering & blending techniques to capture your subject matter with depth & tone to create their own compositions. No experience necessary!

This workshop is held in the CAL classroom at 207 South Ninth St. Columbia, MO. 65201

-Strathmore 400 lb drawing pad 9x12 or larger

-compressed charcoal (medium hardness)

-vine charcoal

-Staedtler white block eraser

-paper towels

-Q-tips

CAL has some communal supplies such as paper towels, some charcoals, masking tape etc. but it is always best to have what you’ll need.
