Water Water Everywhere with Lindsay Picht (6 Week)- Sundays, 1-3PM from August 23-September 27

This watercolor course will emphasize what makes watercolor so special: WATER.
Over the course of this 6-week class, students will learn how to let go with watercolor by painting on a large scale, pouring paint using wet on wet techniques, and most importantly: using lots of water. We will learn about abstraction through color, composition, rhythm, movement, and texture. Painting with spontaneity, exploring the force of water, observing color and pigment interactions, and utilizing watercolor’s transparency will be the focus. This class will also ask students to use their bodies, not just their hands, as we will be working on large sheets of paper with large brushes. Join artist Lindsay Picht to try something new, get out of your comfort zone, and work with watercolor in a new way! All levels are welcome.

Materials List
3 sheets of 22 x 30 inch Arches cold press watercolor paper
3 inch or bigger synthetic flat brushes
Tubes or liquid watercolor (any colors/pigments you like!)
One-inch flat watercolor brush
Two round brushes, sizes vary but will need a medium and a large
Anything else you like to use in your painting practice!
