Thursdays, January 22nd-February 26th from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Explore the expressive potential of charcoal in this six-week course designed to build fundamental drawing skills. Working from direct observation of still life, students will master the unique properties of vine, willow, and compressed charcoal. Students will learn core techniques, such as blending, layering, and using erasers for highlights, then apply these methods while receiving personalized feedback & guidance throughout the process.
This class is suitable for all levels, from enthusiastic beginners to those looking to refine their observational skills and translate what they see into compelling drawings.
This workshop is held at CAL, 207 South Ninth St.
