While this event is outside and can be as distanced as needed, you will be required to wear a mask if you are working near another person and while you are in the boats.

We will have hand sanitizer available, but you might want to bring your own.

We will not have our usual celebration with dinner included after the event. You are welcome to stay at Cooper’s Landing and enjoy the food and music but that will not be included in our event.

Weather

As this is an outdoor event, the weather will be a huge factor in how the event will run. MRR and CAL are working diligently to create a rain plan, which will likely include tents for artists to work under. Unless there are storms in the area that prevent us from being out on the river, this event will take place. Rest assured that Missouri River Relief are experts at safely and carefully navigating the river, and we will do all that we can to make this event comfortable for our artists.

Things to note:

This event is incredibly unique in that artists will have access to paint places that they cannot access by foot. However, this also brings some limitations. Bathrooms will not be readily accessible to artists, so everyone is encouraged to use the porta-potties at Cooper’s Landing. In addition to your art supplies, you may want to bring some items to help keep you comfortable, including, but not limited to, bug spray, a water bottle, a hat/sunglasses, close toed shoes, a stool, a rain jacket, a cell phone, sunscreen, and/or a small fan. MRR will have boats along the river during this event to provide emergency assistance, if needed. MRR and CAL will do all that we can to make you comfortable.
