The Columbia Art League is sad to report the passing of artist Mary Clohessy. Mary was a talented artist and member of the Art League for over 10 years. She will be dearly missed in the gallery and community. Our condolences to her family.
Once a year, we invite the CAL members to come along to the Columbia Art League for an informal meeting where we thank the outgoing board members, welcome in the new members (Shannon Soldner, Phil Gresham, Anastasia Pottinger & Ann Merrifield) and Diana will give her last short State of the League address. We're delighted this year to have musician/composer Ben Colagiovanni providing music for the evening, wine from our pals over at Les Bourgeois and some dessert bites from Room 38.
The meeting is from 6-7pm at CAL, though it might go longer, and we'd love to see you!
Art in the Park is only 5 weeks away! This week the Art in the Park banners went up on 9th Street. Thanks to The District for making that happen!

Do you want to grow your writing practice? Do you have a story to tell? In these writing sessions, we will focus on tuning your voice on the page. In our time together we will cultivate essential elements of writing, tap into the power of close observation, and offer guidance for implementing a writing practice in everyday life. We will engage in nontraditional writing exercises rather than bringing in preexisting work. Ideal for beginners of all genres and anyone hoping to deepen their practice.
Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th April, 1:00-5:00pm each day
$100 for CAL member, $120 for non-members
