Design and creation will involve traditional and varied techniques of weaving, finishing with a range of rims. The baskets will typically be sized so as to completed week to week, with one larger vessel if desired.

The course will culminate with a final work day dedicated to any needed finishing of all the baskets, including embellishing with objects, as well as dyeing and paints.

This is a course that can be done at any level of experience. Materials, supplies and tools will be provided for all pieces. Participants may bring their own special tools and trimmings if desired.

Ann McGinity is a local basket maker, using natural and found materials to create a variety of basketry shapes and forms.
