Youth Drawing Teacher

The Columbia Art League is seeking a fun and dynamic art teacher to teach technical drawing and painting to pre-teens.

Qualified applicants should possess a BFA or MFA, a Bachelors or Masters of Art Education, or 3+ years of equivalent experience teaching art to children or teens.

Preferred applicants will have an outgoing and positive personality, experience with and passion for working with kids and teens, and sufficient skills and confidence to teach drawing to emerging young artists.

This position is part time.

Rate of pay is $12.50/hour or more, commensurate with experience.

Call for Adult Art Teachers

CAL is seeking skilled and personable teachers in a variety of fine art and fine craft media to deliver high-quality arts instruction to adults of all ages and skill levels.

Qualified applicants should possess a BFA or MFA, a Bachelors or Masters of Art Education, or 3+ years of equivalent experience teaching art to adults and creating art in a studio setting.

Preferred applicants will have a fun and outgoing personality, a patient disposition, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach their preferred medium at beginner to advanced levels.

All positions are part-time. Rate of pay is 35% of total tuition intake (no less than $15/hr., up to $35/hour for a full class)

Call for Summer Art Camp Staff

Summer Art Camp Teachers

Columbia Art League is currently seeking applicants for Lead and Assistant summer camp teaching positions. A qualified candidate must have interest and experience in teaching art to children, enjoy the high energy environment of a summer art camp setting, and be available M-F, from 8:30-5:30 during the week(s) of camp one plans to teach.

Applicants interested in being considered for paid positions should submit a letter of interest, resume or curriculum vitae, list of professional and/or academic references, and a sample lesson plan. Candidates contacted for interviews will need to bring a teaching and/or art portfolio for review.

Positions pay $10.00-$12.50 per hour, with a planning time stipend available for lead teachers who meet the criteria.
